A Walk from Rotherhithe to London Bridge

Our Group had a very pleasant day out on June 9th to walk from Rotherhithe to London Bridge along the south bank of the River Thames with our two Guides Jo and Karen.

This tour was organised to commemorate the anniversary of the Mayflower’s departure from Rotherhithe to America. Along that 3 mile walk we were introduced to many interesting facts and sculptures and buildings relating to that time.  Even the remains of King Edward II’s Palace. Then more recent, the house where Princess Margaret met Anthony Armstrong Jones at one of its many Celebrity parties! The weather was perfect which made the views we had even more attractive.
