Latin groups visit the Temple of Mithras
Both Latin Groups were enthralled by the Roman artefacts on display on their recent visit to The Temple of Mithras, located under the Bloomberg Building in London. The idea that Roman feet once wore the perfectly preserved leather sandals was mind blowing!
All about Rome
On the cultural side, we have enjoyed a Latin lunch with a Roman exhibit comprising 2 inch nails dug up in 1959 from a cache near Dunkeld on the river Tay. This consisted of 10 tons of material buried near a local fort.
More recently, we visited the remains of a Roman bath house, nearly 2000 years old at Billingsgate where we had a conducted tour.
